Unforgiven . EWO . framed Optica print 34 X 30 X 2
These are the “real ones” my fine Art that has traveled, hung, and been seen “Shipped from L.A. to New York” and places between. As such they are Real True Scarpati Exhibit Pieces, many are older and printed on mediums no longer in existence. As careful as we are here – some may show signs of having been out in the world and lived…
Every piece in this section is in gallery hanging condition, but they are not brand new, some may be many years old and may have a few battle scars.
If you have concerns about the condition message me for a detailed blow by blow – the full condition description and photo close-ups. These pieces are from my personal collection
This is not a movie set, but actual life in my hometown of Santa Ynez. The Unforgiven showed up in their clothes, looking like full grown men who’d come to drink and take what they wanted… You could tell they meant business the second we put them on the street. High noon sun is brutal: dark eye sockets, a harshness
that makes everything extreme. But these guys, it seemed to intensify their crunching down the street, back from Hell manliness. That harshness, which was so unforgiving, was exactly the tone we needed. My favorite part — other than whistling Morricone’s “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly,” feeling it was my own spaghetti western being shot — was the fact it’s the only picture my father’s ever helped me on. There was no sense of drama when we started, so I called him to come down in his pick-up to drive back and forth on cue to kick up the dust for that sense of something about to go down.
8-Color aqueous pigment technology Giclee printed on Optica paper
A bright white, matte surface fine art paper, Optica has an extremely hard surface. It produces frighteningly crisp detail. When this works, it really works – and it’s nice to know this kind of weapon exists when you need it.
